ourvoice.no is an independent publication launched in June 2023 by Terje Håkenstad. It's a small, personal collection of essays on inclusion, diversity and equity — written for parents, allies, colleagues, and anyone trying to do right by the people around them.

Everything here is free to read. No paywall, no sign-up, and no algorithm deciding what you see — just honest writing about identity, family and belonging, at home and at work.

Why it exists

Because these conversations matter, and because sometimes the most useful thing in a hard moment is to hear from someone who has been there. The essays draw on lived experience and on history — a reminder that the work of understanding one another is as old as we are.
